Yeah, it was nice. Trying to be a normie, hanging out with some cuties and such, living in ignorant bliss. Now it's all lost. I'm all alone in my apartment, watching anime.

I was 17, at college doing a shitty IT course, listening to Funeral for a Friend, Taking Back Sunday, AFI, etc... hanging out with pot heads and having no GF, and dressed in black.

then at the IT course a friend showed me 4chan's /b/ I think during habbo raid era.

Now I'm 29 working at maccas, and listen to pitchfork approved music and dress in normie clothing. Married with a kid.

So I think I've improved since.

Already unhappy. Finding 4chan was like finding a drug that made it all so easier, but actually harmed me over the years and I realized it a little too late.

sure, I spent most of the time watching cartoons on TV or playing video games, especially MMOs in the later years

I didn't have any real life friends by age 13, but when I started browsing 4chan and gradually stopped playing MMOs I also stopped making new online friends, so now I only have 2~3 people who were online friends back then and now are just online acquaintances who never really open up about their lives anymore

It was still shit. Here I can blend into the background, feel safe, have human interaction with no pressure...

I didnt have internet until I was 13. During those days Id spend most of my time either outside with my best friends, or playing runescape with my bestfriends. They moved away and I was alone so I spent most of my time playing in the computer. I met new friends online Meggersh and Fooyaka and we were a team back then. I spent 3 or 4 years hanging out with them in Runescape. Meggersh was a prude rich girl from North Carolina who always had something to comment on and she was always laughing. Fooyaka was my nigga we met in Faladors mines while I was mining clay. He was shit talking some scrub O and I jumped in to help him roast the kid. Ever since then we stuck like glue. Those were the golden days. Then they disappeared. I went to wow spent sometime there never really made friends. Was that guy always ruining roleplays in moonguard and spamming trade cbat. Never really got anywhere in the game I was a decent pvper. Then I. Started browsing memes on funnyjunk got bored of watching copied threads on the shitty site and I ended up in r9k at 19.

It sucked, i had a couple outcast buddies i hung out with pre 4chan in the corner of the school at lunch with but i was either ridiculed or ignored by everyone else.
The same outcast friends introduced me to a cool anime forum around january of 2004.
Honestly, 2004 was one of the best years of my life.
The internet was the best thing thats ever happened to me.
Discovering dark jaded humour and silly memes gave my life just a bit more meaning.

Of course things are different now though

Found 4chan in my mid 20s. Now I'm in my 30s and still here in this shit hole.
My past is gone, all bridges destroyed. No one is left. But you goys.
It's alright though. Left for a few months.
I tried to make friends one last go at it, failed.
I'm baaaaack.
And will never try again.

A friend showed me 4chan when I was like 12. He only used it for /gif/ so i would just go on here for porn. Didn't go on /b/ or /r9k/ til about a year ago. If anything it makes me aim for self improvement even more, so I dont end up like a robofag.
