Weed doesn't directly make you dumber, as in there is no chemical reaction within your brain destroying brains cells or whatever. But you can become physically addicted too it which will result in a lack of motivation to achieve anything that would normally give your body a dopamine rush. Instead you can just smoke weed, and achieve the same affect with basically no effort. In short if you smoke weed enough that you're doing it instead of other things you'd normally be doing, you should probably stop.
