A few days ago I accidentally touched what I thought to be a stinging nettle, and a couple of hours later this appeared. Obviously this wasn't a stinging nettle, but I don't know what it is since the plant was destroyed when dad mowed the lawn yesterday. What the hell is this? I've never had anything like it. It hurt a bit more when I touched the plant than stinging nettles would, now that I think about it.

It a glimthorn weed. It has a stinking tender hook which sank into your skin. Yipes! I suggest you put some sour cream on your wound. it's a secret old remedy my grandmom taught me and it will help to stop that itch. Also whatever you do, don't go swimming.
...How big it was, did it have a bloom? In any case, you should see the doctor. Your hand wont fall off, but you surely learn a lesson if the blister gets bigger. It could be poison ivy or in the worse case the hogweed. Some plants you just dont touch, cause they can fuck you up badly.
