While I do love leeching off of my folks I feel as if I need to try living alone for a while. I'm 23yrs and haven't accomplished anything and I think that having my own place would teach me responsibility or something. I live in a low cost of living state and can find a job starting $10/hr easily. I have no qualms working 40hr/week. What do you think bots?

"Go for it, son. Just head on in there, speak with the manager, address him as 'Sir,' stand up straight, look him in the eye, and remember to give him a nice, firm handshake."
I should mentioned that I have worked 40hrs/wk before until I got laid off. I have no social life which is why it worked okay for me

I'm the same age as you. I have a career in property management, a wife, and a newborn son. One year and a few months ago I was living with my parents. I don't have a degree.
It took me a lot of stress and hard work but it's totally possible if you don't mind doing what other people aren't prepared to do. I say go for it man. Save up and get a car before you move out though if you don't have one already.

Start off working and ask your parents if you can pay them rent. Then ease yourself into finding a place.
