my husband is 5 years younger than me, nabbed him when he was a teen. we share bank accounts, have careers at the same place with same hours and split expenses 50/50. we cook dinner together every night. i can't wait to have kids in a couple years. this is awesome, i hope you guys can have a piece of it when you grow up, too.

i feel like the woman should be very slightly older because of the small life expectancy difference for sexes. though, when we started dating my husband didn't really have any lifeskills, we're both awkward internet dwellers, but him much more so than i. i like him a lot so helping him learn how to be a person who can operate a washing machine is something i don't mind doing at all. i'd say 4-7 years older is ideal to handle rowdy boys.
