I go to college in a different city than my folks, they were supposed to come visit and bring my new driver's license for my 21st. My dad was too sick from radiation treatment so they couldn't make it. I just sat in my apartment in the dark that night.

I never got a chance to have a beer with my dad before he died.

Seconding this, it was indeed pretty sad in it's own original way.

I don't think drug dealers are that autistic. They're usually charismatic and have lots of "friends". If he were a former drug dealer trying to turn his life around, he wouldn't want anyone at his party for fear of them trying to suck him back into that life.
