I kinda do this. I like to come up with possible stories and elseworlds for characters I like, mostly superheroes and Disney women. It typically goes full magical realm and I've written some fapfics. I have a bunch of ideas but I've been pretty lazy lately and haven't done anything with them.

Man it fucking sucks. That shit was my only source of joy. I've tried to recreate it digitally but it isn't the same, and I've tried at the park in the kids sand pit but people always destroy it.

I try to fix arcade cabinets for my hobby. It's stupid expensive, requires a lot time, and has very little pay off, but fuck, I love it.

I pretend to have wrestling matches with a torso i made from my bedsheets folded into my training jacket. I do this at night on my bed, doing suplexes and other wrestling moves. I also make up tournaments and storylines.

When I was a kid, I had lots of K'Nex (Pic is of K'nex for those who don't know what it is) and Lego, so I would build little "robots" and "spaceships", and pretend that the models are fighting with lasers and missiles and stuff. I spend all my time on the computer these days.

I had this weird "game" in my head about a world with billions of K'nex pieces, and it starts off with all of them being little sentient K'nex "bots" made of three or four pieces, and they had energy which could be used as laser weaponry and energy shields,, and they fought against each other and assimilated each other's pieces, with the goal being to be the last remaining bot, that has assimilated everything.

Did something somewhat like that.
Would use some kind of playdoh, shape it into some crude spaceshit, would usually try to model the interior as well.
Then I'd take a pencil and pretend that the spaceship is being shot at by poking the doh really fast with the pencil point.
Then I'd spend a long time analyzing the damages. Sometimes the attack was so violent you could see the inside of the ship.
I probably did lots of other weird things like that to kill time and avoid studying, just don't remember.
Shit, it was tough to occupy yourself before the internet.

I'm making a sugar mill railroad so I am currently reading up on sugar production and world prices of sugar, so I can construct a fictional mill that's economically viable.

Can't runt 20-wagon freight trains to a mill in a climate where sugar production barely hits break-even. So I'm gonna have to place it somewhere warm where labor is cheap.

That's cool because in backwater countries they have old-ass steam engines still running, so I can run steam on my layout without it being anachronistic.

I have a hobby that is maybe slightly sad but I really enjoy it.
Basically my family kicked me out when I turned 19 because I got a job interview at my dads company (he works in a high position). It was a mining company so I thought it would be fun to show my 'creative side' by bringing a lump of coal to the interview, and halfway through pretending to pull it from the interviewers ear. my dad was so humiliated and we had a fight so he kicked me out.

So my hobby relates to this. I want to pretend I got the job and work with my dad. I sneak into random office buildings when I am not at work and act like I work there. Usually I find a late 50's looking man and follow him around pretending he is my dad. At the end of every day I follow him to his car then when he drives off I pretend he drove me home as we live and work together.

It is probably depressing but who care.s

I grow marijuana. I started out as a casual, growing a single tiny shriveled plant of mexican-sleepy-grass tier weed under my bed. But then I got into the deep web and tor (back when growing weed was super illegal), and I found a whole wealth of knowledge on how to do it right.

I then built a secret room behind our house's hot water heater, and covered the whole thing in professional-grade lighting and reflective materials, and installed irrigation. I utilized silk road to order the best seeds that money can buy. I started hybridizing and making my own strains to obtain my desired traits with no compromises.

Pretty soon I had way more weed than I could ever smoke (ironically, I'm not really that much of a pot-head), so I started selling to friends and family. Word got out, I had the best greenery in my town, and possibly the state. But my potential was severely limited because of my (justified) fear of law enforcement stopping the operation.

But then. Then marijuana got legalized in my state. I now sell to several dispensaries under the table, and make very good money, because mine is the best you can get.

Used to play Magic The Gathering, still play Mtg 2015 on xbox. Never was the same as when I was a kid, when I went to my local tournament with my friends. The best was when a new set came out and you went to the card shop and got a this box with a bunch of packs and would make a 30 card deck and compete in 1v1s and won prizes. My favorite mid night release was the Theros block, I came in 3rd place and got a new play mat. It was great because games would go on far a good amount of time and I had this guy who could turn himself in a 20/20 so I obliterated others, the card wasn't worth much after but it always had a certain value to it in my eyes. Sorry to rant on in the nostalgia I guess I just really miss it.

Damn, you guys make me look normal.

I still play tf2 and if I get too wrapped up in using it to escape my shitty life I spend hundreds on stupid virtual items and can't have any fun unless I'm top scoring on the entire server. Thankfully I moderated myself and have other games to play thanks to the steam sale so I can once again enjoy my past time. I've also taken up animation and video making.

i think i was still doing master farmer at that level but that was forever ago
and yeah blackjacking is basically the worst thing in the game, runecrafting is my favorite skill and i hate blackjacking with a passion

I collect vintage toys. The rarest and most valuable item or really it's 2 items are my 1960s corgi batmobile with the bat boat. It's in nearly flawless condition, I have the box, and the original cardboard sleeving for the box.

I like to spend hours on completely pointless and very difficult tasks just for the sake of doing them. I've pencils on top of each other, alternating direction the entire time, to as tall as I could reach from the floor, and I've built more card houses than I care to remember. I've also stacked pringles into circles and have balanced coins to my ceiling. I've spent weeks on some of these projects. It usually involves balance, but other times I try something else. If I'm very bad at something I usually become twice as determined to get it done. Usually I'll even make a dumb rule for myself, like I can only put the cards on from behind the side of the house I'm on. It's also a personal rule of mine that no one can ever know about it except me.

My first time ever playing a souls game I put 417 hours into it because I refused to use any other method than what I was doing.
