we hardly interacted but I think she was into me, I don't know how she was driven into my skull, it's so stupid on the outside looking in. My obsession started from age 13 until now, age 20. It was earlier this year that I found out she was impregnated by a junkie abusive boyfriend that happened to be my best friend from middle school up into junior year when we stopped talking. I don't want to think about the context again in detail but this news tore me apart. I'm weak as hell. I was fired for "moping around" and being unfriendly, I started drinking, I went from smoking a pack a week to a pack a day, I hardly ate, had terrible mood swings and self-hating temper tantrums. and lost a couple of the only friends I could talk to IRL from this behavior.

Only more recently am I starting to build my life up. I haven't binge drank in a while and stopped smoking, currently job hunting, started working out, lost my virginity, and am really trying to get into some productive hobbies to keep my mind off of her(drawing, reading, and recently started learning an instrument). Overall I'm feeling a lot more confident but sometimes she still creeps into my head and I don't know how to make it stop. I don't want anyone or anything to have that kind of power over me again, I'm really afraid I'll fall back into that hole and it'll end up sabotaging any potential future relationships and my wellbeing.

I "fixed" myself by giving myself a mission. I must find my soulmate. It eases the pain by simply labeling them as failed nothings that turned out to be imposters. I keep my mind focused on that mission. It also helps me from getting to attached before they show interest in me. I just remind myself that my soulmate is out there and I must find them and that my soulmate would be drawn to me and will make the first move.

Beyond that I don't know what else I can say to help you. I beat this with pure force of will and while it works most of the time I still fail and get attached no mater what I do.
