My mother was mostly drowning in alcohol and pissing in the basement because she was too lazy and drunk to go to the bathroom, she also liked to hit me in the head everytime I would disagree with her on the smallest shit. Things have escalated when she threw a door window on me and a shard of glass got stuck in my leg. After this incident I moved to my grandmother, I just couldn't stand her face.

My brother yells and interrupts his son a lot when he tries to explain himself.

This has led to him stuttering a lot, so I guess like the other anon said, a dad isn't a cure for emasculation, some cause it.

I single mothers suck ass though, since when he is at his mom's he has no rules and it has made him a crybaby who is extremely selfish and cries if anything doesn't go his way.

I'm my personal experience, women are less likely to hold the door open for you, say excuse me, make room for you in public, be considerate of old people (excluding other women). I live in NYC and do you know how many times I've seen a man get on the train holding a baby and NO women offer the man their seat?

Single mom raised me and my sister. Put us through college and gave us anything possible while rarely buying things for herself. I rarely bought stuff and never asked for her money. I learned to control my own finances and pursued education to get a good job so i dont see her have to work again. She pushed me to be the best i can be and fueled my hunger to succeed. I dont put blame on her for my faults i control my own future.

I wasn't technically raised by a single mother, but when I think about it, I honestly can't recall any memories of my dad actually teaching me how to be a man. Just about all of my upbringing was done by my mom. Definitely impacted me negatively.

I don't feel like a man. I feel like a child trapped in an aging body. I'm a total pushover and apologetic pussy with zero confidence. This mindset is completely crystallized in my psyche and is never going to change into something useful.

It was mostly subtle passive agressive bullshit. Strict overbearing irrational. Too young a naive to see she was not right in the head. And that upbringing just made my mental state worse.
