I binge eat for emotional reasons, and no matter what I do I cannot stop. I have been all over the place on the eating disorder spectrum; just a few months ago I was under 130 pounds. Anyway food is the only pleasure I have in my life, and I am having a hard time giving it up.
I haven't given up at all, I lift weights regularly, and I really want to lean down starting really soon. I just can't bring myself to give up binge eating. It feels like an addiction

I haven't given up. I ran for 50 minutes non stop yesterday and plan on doing so tomorrow.
I also write down all of the things i've eaten so I can make sure I don't go overboard.
I also keep tabs of how much water I've drank. Drinking lots of water helps you lose weight.
I previously weighed around 267 a few months ago. So I've been crawling down and losing weight very slowly.
I used to be 175 and a size 32 waist when I was 17.
Fuck giving up. My method of weightloss is shit and ineffective but I've managed to keep off weight despite having bad dietary habits, simply by writing down how much I eat, jogging at least 7 times a month and drinking lots of water.

If you do any these:

>have filthy dishes laying around your room
>have empty pizza boxes or other type of fast food "memorabilia" laying around
>eat while watching movies of videos on youtube
>eat tons of sweets in combination with potato chips
>smoke cigarettes after every meal
>feel embarrassed when ordering food because of your size
>drink tons of soda
>unironically hate vegetables
>feel out of breath after climbing less than 10 stairs

just know, you're really really fucked and there's no way out of you dying between ages of 40-50, outside of stopping all of these at once.

I was just bored and lonely and food gave me something to do and made me feel happy. I was still alone, but I was less focused on it when all I could think about was eating an entire pizza with bread sticks.

I started having bad digestive symptoms and got diagnosed with Crohn's. Lost 80lbs in 10mos without even trying. Just too sick to eat. Shit sucks, familia. I'd rather stay a fat fuck.

I remember telling one girl I start getting into shape when I either survive a heart attack (or something similarly life threatening), find someone worth bettering myself for (cause it def. ain't me), or win the lottery. Those are the only situations I can think of that would make the time/effort to do it worth it.

That's not the point, fatso.
I don't care if you lose weight or not, just here to tell you if you don't stop eating shit, you are actually going to die.

Eating vegetables instead of fucking burgers and fries every day will make you live. Only way you could possibly die from eating them is choke on a broccoli or something.
>>
>>38000370
Veggies tend to be less calorie dense though, so you can eat a fuckload and be full and not have eaten a shitload of calories.
Weight loss is simple in and out of calories barring diseases that fuck your shit up.

I still have hope I'll get better someday, but I recently learned I was 225, not 210 like I thought which isn't a confidence boost.

This one time a few months ago I tried to get fit. I'm no weeb, but I thought and intense workout routine would be good for me, so I tried my best doing the one punch man routine. Not knowing distanced traveled, I took a /fit/ anon's advice when he said it usually equals out to an hour. At best I could do six minutes of running without stopping for about thirty seconds, but for the push ups I literally could not lock my legs without falling to the floor. it ended up taking me 3 hours to do and hour and twenty minutes worth of exercise.
So I ended up running for 47 minutes, doing 100 squats, 100 sit ups, and 25 push ups when I stopped and limbed into my kitchen. Feeling an odd craving, I started spreading peanut butter on two peices of leftover pizza my family had for dinner. My brother walked into the kitchen, stared down my neck, and said "You should probably kill yourself". Then I threw the two peanut butter pizzas into the microwave with two cups of water. When I took it out it was rubby the peanut butter was burning hot and leaked all over. It wasn't worth it honestly, it tasted as you would expect to be honest. I wish I just ate the two pizzas with a cup of milk and a spoonful of peanut butter.

Also skelies and fitizens should be able to post if they'd like. We should be open to discussion.
>>
>>38002588
Sure you are. How long have you been at 180 lbs? Did you lose weight to get there, or did you gain weight? 180 is my current goal at 6'0", only 23 lbs to go
>>
>>38002631
Started at 280 two years ago. I would seem I can't get past 175 on a 1500 calorie diet, which is depressing. I don't wanna starve myself and wagecucking 10 hours a day leave me with no energy to exercise.

pretty much anything that's bad for me. Fast food, pizza, heavy European food, heavy southern US food, burgers, fries, etc. Except sweet stuff, I don't have a sweet tooth. Funny that.
>habits that are keeping you at your current weight
Well the fact that I hate exercise probably has something to do with it. I've lost the 35lbs this year entirely by skipping meals. /fit/fags always talk about how being exhausted feels good, in my opinion they're lunatics. I did try that a few years ago, I lifted and occasionally went for runs at night. I kept it up for six months and I never stopped hating every second of it. I quit that and gained back the 40 lbs I lost. Oh yeah, and I drink too much, there's that too.
>moment you decided to give up
idk, I haven't yet but this is really fucking miserable. Like, I'll plan out some food for the day to keep myself at 1500-2000 calories. And I'll be starving all the time. I'm never not hungry if I stay within my calorie budget. Regardless of how I spend it, or if I space it out through the day or eat one big meal. I'm always hungry. I could eat 3,000 calories of taco bell right now, in one sitting. I have no idea how hungry skellingtons do it.

Me neither. As I said before, it tasted like I was eating regular old pizza with hot peanut butter on top. If anything I felt like I wasting the peanut butter rather than the pizza. I keep thinking that tomorrow I'll turn it around, but I'm seriously at the breaking point of not being able to walk for more than 5 minutes. My dream since I was a child was to become a doctor in the navy. Society let me degenerate too far. My only hope is Jordan Peterson and sorting myself out. Maybe I can still grow up (how old am I again?) and work as an overnight walmart stocker in a trailer park. I'm too weak to help myself out though it seems, and I'm such a complete dreg on society, anyone I come in to contact with is lesser because of it. I keep holding on to hope that tomorrow will be the day I change, like an eternal 2nd coming of Jesus as I wallow in nihilistic hell in a fallen civilization.

that's how bad it is. Its literally unbelievable to some people. Another example is if I go to Pizza hut or Something. I'll get the 6.99 for 2 medium pan pizzas 2 toppings deal, and eat both pizzas in one sitting. That's usually about 5-6k calories, plus whatever soda I'm drinking. If I get McDonalds, I'll literally eat like 10 McDoubles, or like 100 chicken nuggets. Pasta, I'll make a whole pound of it, plus half pound of cheese, 2-3 pounds of meat, and like 2-3 pounds of sauce, along with a 12 inch garlic bread.

Have to also keep in mind that consuming this much food puts me in an disassociate state. I'll literally be lying in bed delirious, in head space, like a small dose of shrooms without the hallucinations.

I don't leave the house basically, so its not that much of a problem. I don't panic or anything, but everything will revolve around when I eat again, and how I'm gonna eat, and what I'm gonna eat, and what I'm gonna do while eating... etc.

I'm basically always hungry in my mind. A feeling of starvation that doesn't drop. I can't stop until I reach that point of what essentially equals a coma.

What stings the most is that I believe I was almost past the rubicon. I was getting /fit/ /lit/ and was on a clear path. Even if I got back on it, what kind of story is that to tell? That I could sink so low? I'm not morally strong enough to be a Doctor nor a military Officer, to say the least. I can hardly leave my trailer, that I was forced to move back into after leaving my temporary idealistic upper-middle class existence at Uni.

I was always shit, I came from shit, but I almost got out. Then my dad died, and basically everything in my head imploded. Part of it was wanting to be back with my mother since she was so devastated.

running and training for half marathons. I have about 25 pounds of loose skin so my actual body fat is really low, but it is still an organ that needs nourishment. Unfortunately it's an extra 25 pounds i gotta carry around for now, so I am not able to break into full marathons yet.

>moment you decided to give up
I tried a dozen diets, lost up to 80-100 pounds, would gain it all back up. Finally got tired of the diet meme, and went to my family doctor. She recommended me to a weight loss program that's run by the provincial government (canadian here). Over two years they helped me get rid of my bad eating habits, and eventually I got bariatric surgery paid for by the government. The doctors expected me to bottom out around 270, but I managed to lose essentially all my excess weight by following post-surgery diet very strictly.

Diets are a meme. cont'd
>>
>>38010285

the scientific evidence points that about 5% of humans are able to permanently lose and maintain weight loss from obesity to a healthy BMI. The numbers also show a much larger percentage of obese people manage to lose weight, keep it off for a median of six months, and then regain it. I called bullshit on this when the dietitian told me about this, but I actually went to university and looked up the studies she cited, and it's actually right. Bariatric surgery is pretty much the only long term solution for permanent weight loss. Just having the surgery with no lifestyle changes also has a failure rate of around 40%. Combining both lifestyle changes and bariatric surgery have the best outcomes.

i have that faith too. i keep thinking that some day ill sort myself out. like it will literally feel like rainclouds parting to reveal the sweet sunlight.

is this toxic? i was bullied at school and my mom took out a lot of anger on me and made me feel like i never deserved an opinion. my dad was nice but he was also lying it up, when things didnt go right hed explode and no more mr. nice guy.
i had really strange habita growing up. i was interested in sex from a really early age and masturbated like crazy throughout grade school.
i never learned how to properly socialize or communicate but i got by, because people just called me the freaky guy who was sort of funny.
this was in hs, before then i was bullied like hell.
in uni i made a ton of friends from being a tryhard and one day just decided i had enough. i stopped leaving my dorm.
i gradually made friends again but sometimes man, i tell you, it feels like im blinding myself.
i think i have this drive towards destruction. and this drive is so strong it wont let me see the logical fallacies i tell myself about the life i lead.
i can tell my parents are very worried. they see it deep down, and regret their behavior from when i was young. i told my dad about how i was bullied in middle School, about the same time he just stopped talking to me for whatever reason. so that guilt really is working at his heart. hes aging so fast these days, bros. it makes me sad.
i just had enough. i want out. i want to sort myself out and hoist my parents up and become the man nobody asked for. but i keep tricking myself. its infuriating.

The only way to actually lose weight is to nearly starve yourself. I used to be almost 140 pounds overweight 1.5 - 2 years ago and lost it all eating 500 calories a day. I'm 6 ft 4 so it was a huge deficit.

Sure it wasn't pleasant, but I liked the challenge and the suffering, really tested my willpower.

Why go on some meme diet and lose a pound or two a week and be fat for years when you can stave and melt it off?

Despite being so overweight I held it quite well relative to my height, as a result I was more of a rounder than a flabber and when losing weight I deflated evenly like a balloon. My skin was slightly loose in areas but it was seldom noticeable and after gaining back some of the muscle I had lost my skin had gone back to normal. I'm quite young, 19 if that has anything to do with it.

As for weight gain I did gain a few pounds trying to adjust my diet but once I had it figured out I went on a conventional diet and lost the pounds over a few weeks.

I'm not sure if I've entirely given up on losing weight, but being a NEET is just making the losing weight part harder and being a hamplanet is part of the reason I'm a NEET. Also because the only time I've ever actually committed to losing weight was for a girl and I went from eating like the fat cunt I am to eating three bites of dinner a day and only drinking coffee and water. Another also is that I'd definitely have loose skin and the surgery to fix it across the entire body costs around $55k.
