>unpopular with normies
>normies would rather drink the popular drinks (Coca Cola, Sprite...)
>featured in a bunch of anime so attracts weebs
>most people think its disgusting, but a few people can see it's true value
Is Dr Pepper /ourdrink/? I almost can't drink anything else now.
Dr. Pepper is unironically the best soda.
Only those with acquired palates can appreciate its flavour.

Is it true that people think it tastes like medicine outside of the states?
>>37974664
some dude that was one of the first shot in columbine was drinking a dr pepper
>>37974698
I'm outside of the US and I don't think it does. They probably say that because there's Doctor in the name
>>37974698
Yes, the other day I tasted it for the first time, it unironically tastes like cough syrup
>>37974698
Russian here, noone thinks so by us.
>>37974664
Dr.pepper is in anime? I've only seen cola.
>>37974664
everybody drinks it in texas, but maybe that's just because it has roots here
i like it, great w bourbon
>>37974698
Yes. Like medicine to depression.
>>37974749
First one that comes to mind is Steins;Gate but I remember seeing it in a lot of other anime. I remember reading that it's really popular in Japan. Try to look for some "Dr [something]" next time they drink a soda or something
>>37974664
The only soda I drink is Dr. Pepper. The knockoffs are pretty fucking gross though, and there's so many.
>2017
>still falling for the sodajew
>>37974664
We don't even have Dr. Pepper here (Romania). The only way to get it is to have it shipped from the US or something.
Dr. Nut is the true robot drink
I celebrate the entire Dr. Pepper catalog
>>37974710
Dr Pepper, what's the worst that could happen?
>>37974826
BOI THERE IT IS
>>37974817
France here the only place I can find it is in a verys mall Intermarche (local departement store) a few minutes away from here. It's usually hidden behind some other cans. It's really weird too since all the giant departement stores don't have it.

>2017
>still using "current year" argument
>>37974860
I thought it's more popular in Western countries. What's it like?
>>37974789
Coca cola is far far more popular in Japan.
>>37974881
Most similar thing I can think of is Coca-Cola cherry or 7up cherry. They don't exactly taste the same but it's somewhat close enough
>>37974789
Japanon here, there are a lot of sodas here so you won't see it in every vending machine or even in many konbinis, but it is available if you need it.
That said, the divide exists even here. I love Dr. Pepper and so do some of my friends but others say it tastes like medicine.
>>37974881
It doesn't have the sudden bite of say, Pepsi or Cola. It's smooth, kind of like 7up or Sprite, but isn't citrusy. Like a mix of a dark and light soda, but tastes good. Where do you live?
>>37974862
There is nothing wrong with the current year argument. Things change with time and time doesn't stop. How much has your life changed so far?
>>37974664
It's the best soda to mix with whisky, that's for sure.
>>37974664
nothing like poppin a cold pepper on a hot ass day
>>37974664
not true, it's my fiancee's favorite drink
Dr Pepper is right up there with Vanilla Coke in terms of the best "popular" sodas. I say popular because theres so many smaller brands out there that are top tirer.
