Is college bullshit?

>Is college bullshit?
depends
there's a lot of factors
it can be bullshit
it can also be a great experience that sets you on a track to be successful in life

Not if you know what to do there (something you're good at and enjoy and can forge a career out of)
It is if you're a robot. Because college without networking is a waste of your time. Normies go to parties, meet people, join frats, make connections. That's the real value of college, it puts you in contact with people who can get you a job. If you spend all your time just studying and getting good grades you've wasted your money and time to get a piece of paper that's essentially worthless on its own.

connections may be the icing on the cake (and most of the cake, for that matter) but college is still worth it if you get nothing but a solid degree. And if you don't ruin your life with debt for it.

Depends on why you're there. If you're there because it's the "normal" thing to do and you have no plan, you are wasting your time. If you have a realistic plan for doing what you enjoy and exploit the opportunities given to you in Uni, then it's not a meme
But it is bullshit having to pay someone to teach you shit that can be learned online, mainly in the retarded electives that must be taken. It's also bullshit since everyone thinks going to college is the only possibility to live an average life.

It's useful for meeting people. Other than that, it's bullshit.

depends how seriously you take life, if you want to play the game and get a house/stable job/car/wife/kids/dog etc then yeah college is pretty much needed.
Most robots will skip college, as they have already given up on life - and see modern "education" for the joke that it is. I don't plan on living to old age anyway so who cares.

Depends on what you plan on majoring in, if you go for a meme degree like liberal arts or women's studies or something else that doesn't guarentee employment, you are fucked from the start
>>37968813
Everything is bullshit desu
>>37968879
This, it's not about what you know, it's WHO you know, if you have a lot of connections you can get most thing easily
>>37968813
it is if you're not focused on a goal.
Going there not knowing what you want to do or having an idea of what you want to do is just going to waste your money.
>>37968813
college teaches you how to be a good slave and follow orders no matter what
>>37968813
Education used to be a privilege to learn knowledge. Now its turned into a babysitting conforming system to prepare you for your 9-5 job. Shit is going to get real interesting while the population and automation continue to increase.
In general as long as you study STEM or a respected arts subject like history not womans studies, yes.
Also depends on the country, in America the earnings difference is RIDICULOUS (almost double), in the uk it's significantly more. Some other countries I doubt it matters at all.
college is your last chance to live in the fake world where your opinion matters and people have friends. other than that it's worthless.

>as long as you study stem
Everyone studies logic. You don't need an institution for that.
