I mean, perhaps it's true that Reddit is the majority here now. That's a sad reality to face. But ultimately, there's a reason that the perception here is skewed towards contempt for that site. Funny how even if they do comprise more than 50% of 4chan they aren't the driving force of the culture here and can't skew the general consensus of the site in their favor.

In spite of Reddit, 4chan continues to assert itself as a monolith.

Every single thread I've ever seen on reddit is infested with the same type of shitty and unfunny puns and "le epic reddit inside jokes". After you sift through that, you have the virtue signaling platitudes to discard. Sure you can find some decent discussion eventually, but most of the time people water their opinions down to be accepted in the massive voting circlejerk.

On 4chan there's some dumb circlejerks too, but I find that people otherwise get straight to the point and sometimes even exaggerate their opinions or outright say something super controversial (bait posts) in order to incite discussion. On reddit I feel like I'm reading through the same generic points made on every issue over and over again since the voting system and non-anonymity encourage sticking to a "safe" set of opinions. On 4chan, (You)'s are usually rewarded to controversial posts and by their nature lead to more branching discussion--you make an actual response rather than just downvoting to disagree.
