I think there's free language courses for immigrants and you can just get by with english until you learn broken finnish. The most difficult part are the verb conjugations. I'm not sure how anyone is supposed to learn these. The guy at my local turkish kebab joint has lived in the country for 20 years this july, but still hasn't mastered them.
