It uses bullying and indoctrination as filtration mechanisms and casts aside otherwise cool people for shallow and stupid reasons
They then grow up to have resulting mental disorders that they are shamed for, attacked mercilessly for, and traumatized with even after the actual traumatic events themselves occurred

Nothing wrong with selectivity, but this is fucking bullshit. Even normies feel fake and have to recover some level of mediocrity to feel happy with their actual adult lives.

The apologia is such: Normative thinking is what should happen after raw creation. The rawness of nature and being used to be what made normal thought so appealing. You could take the unpredictability of existence and turn it into seasons, climate, or otherwise extract some normalized form of prediction based off of condition.
However, after the industrial revolution, society has normalized to the point where man has lost his roots, and therefore his need to be normalized. When normal thought is of the norma, you cut using chaos.

There's too many men, too many people making too many problems and there's not much left to go around. Don't you know this is a land of confusion?
