For friends it's because they are sick of you or they're too busy, or possibly autism. For girls it's because chad or other orbiters have taken her attention off of you.

I'm a khv and even end up ghosting people online. In my case It's a compilation of low self esteem, parents making me work for them to not get kicked out, an addiction to solitude and a lack of time to enjoy it, and social anxiety that makes me hate using voice chat.
Other than that I love the people I've befriended online, but would rather only chat when I'm in a good mood (rarely).
