In my third world shithole, malls are more alive than ever before.

I went to a mall looking for some comfy wrestling shoes shoes about a year ago. It was desolate, with half the retail units empty, a few dozen customers wandering around, and the whole thing closed at 8pm on a Friday night. Malls are dead. I went to 4 athletic footwear stores and none of them sold wrestling shoes.

I live in mid-Michigan and there's really nothing to do around here. Sometimes I'll walk around the mall and browse the outdoors store and bookshop if I've nothing better to do.

Whenever I'm with friends, we often end up heading there for lack of other options.

We're all in our mid- to late twenties, by the way. There are always a lot of teenagers and middle-aged Arabs and Indians at the mall.

Traveled in the developing world a lot and malls are still the 'cool' places to be in Latin America and countries like India and Thailand.

last year I went there a couple of times in summer, women still go there and so did I, I creeped a lot...like, seeing a woman alone on an isle and make sure she notices I'm staring at her body like I'm about to rape her and stuff like that

once there was this milf slut with her clevage very exposed, I literally put myself next to her and straight up looked at her tits from like 15 inches, she looked comfortable with that...well, actually I was good looking so probably that's why I never got pepper sprayed

We have a local chain here in Michigan that has a fairly good and diverse selection, but I wish they were better stocked on for international history (60% Murica, 30% Europe, 10% rest of the world).

My university library is huge, though, so there's always that.

True, but as a 23-year old student, it's a lot easier for me to justify $10 for an almost-new novel than $30 at the bookstore.

Once I'm older and make a bit more, I'll probably revert back to shops. Searching the shelves for a certain title, plucking it from its roost, and having the cashier ring it up is a top-comfy feeling, IMO.
