The show is a bit tough to get in to. Steven is insufferable for the first 10 episodes or so, but when I got to Giant Woman I started to enjoy it, and then when I got to episode 51 and 52 I realized that it is the best show I have ever seen.

I need a new Steven universe song so Badley!

That isn't at the core of the show, really. The furthest it delves into that is the lesbionics of some of the gems. The show actually starts gitting gud around The Return and Jailbreak which are like 50 episodes in and from that point forwards it goes from pretty good highs to depressingly bad lows. If you like somewhat comfy slice of life, you may as well watch it all, but if you like plot/lore driven stuff, you might as well just skip all the fluff and only watch the relevant episodes. Don't expect great fight scenes because they range from decent to ludicrously bad, but this is hardly an action show. A lot of characters with potential are squandered to becoming memes (Lapis and Peridot) or just getting snuffed out (Jasper)

I don't t see the equality thing in the show at all.

There's only one lesbian and that's pearl.
Ruby is too much like a boy for that to be lesbionic.

And friendship does save all.
