Like touring around the country with your friends and performing then returning back to your comfy home in a small town.

I used to want to be a comedian but I realized I'm just bitter and depressed without any of the funny.

In my experience, comedic sense comes with milage. If you are online, you could try 'stealing' obscure jokes by redelivering them either identically, or experience with delivery, timing, phrasing, and so on.
A part of learning is at first copying, then modifying, then finally creating.
You'll slowly 'refine' your style as time goes on and you find your audiance.

Not saying you'll be touring as soon as tommorow, but simply being entertaining can be satisfying.
You would also be suprised by how important the crowd is. In one group you will be unfunny and possibly just edgy. In another people will lose their shit laughing.

Touring I guess is the wrong word. It implies success.

Hitting the road with a friend and playing stripmalls in 1000 population towns sounds so fucking freeing.

I was listening to Rogans podcast with Morgan Murphy and she told some story about driving 10 hours to play some gig for $50 and a free pizza and sleeping in the pizza place owner's kid's room with her friend.

And I thought that sounded like so much fucking fun.

I wear a suit to work every day. As a kid and edgy teen I always said I'd fucking kill myself if I had to wear a suit every day.
