The ability to use a computer was a barrier to access, having internet access in your home was another. Mobile data was expensive andpuboic wifi was rare. Once bar was lowered to the point where owning a phone was the only barrier, every asshole jumped in and shit up he place. Sorry.

*and public WiFi was rare

Most people spend a majority of the day outside of the house and away from a personal computer. The rise of smartphones allowed the layman to post and view the internet in these times when they are not able to access a personal computer.
When I realized how blown the fuck open Flash could get I uninstalled it from my machines, and stopped using the websites.

>Normal Fags not having any taste and being too scared to go beyond facebook.
How about we all try to make a YTMND.
I remember internet dating on the internet pre-social media (well there was myspace but it lacked instant smartphone access and only used to promote bands) and the smartphone normie influx. people actually had to get to know each other being deciding if its okay to send a pic and maybe meet up.
almost everyone unanimously considered it pathetic to find a lover online mostly due to social stigma from real life normies and the few runoff normies on forums. its alright now since chad is a click away now via tinder.
