Damn, was worth a try. But yes, dogs are a big resposibility. I've always had dogs in my house since I was 4 and love them very much so I was hoping to make my retirement plan just starting a dog ranch/farm where I can shelter a bunch of them. I'm still in my 20s though so it's a long way to go.

Some dog breeds are ideally supposed to live under 30-35 degree ranges before they start getting issues but you can manage in hot places like AZ or CA if you have a pool, fountain or AC for the dog. It's not recommended though.

I feel much the same way about dogs (and cats, and birds, and other reptiles) in that I'd love to be surrounded by happy animals when I grow older
But being single, working, and addicted to MMOs and dragged out to D&D twice a week makes for a bad dog parent

I'm from canada, though, and one my my uants has an old husky. I still feel like summers are so hot, though, and the poor girl is always so warm.
