>have kid
>kid is a fucking genius
>never gotten a B in his life
>just finished sophomore year in high school
>almost all college classes
>everything comes easy for him
>easily has the potential to be a doctor/engineer/biologist/whatever
>when talking about his future he tells me he wants to work for customs and border protection
My son wants to be a glorified TSA agent.
What the fuck do I do?
he will put his skills to use wherever he goes

They make good money looking the other way.
One chick told me she crossed the boarder with drugs fucking a few of those guys so hey he might be a normal.
>>37854134
Don't you need some sort of college degree to become a federal agent? If so at least he'll go to college and get some sort of education past high school.

He says he wants to major in international relations and minor in french language. And after he gets too old to be an officer get into the political side of homeland security
>>37854262
What a(n) (original) faggot fuck you bot
>>37854262
You should be glad he knows what he wants with his life and that he's smart enough to not be a wagie. I'm 22 and have no idea what to do with my life, and I'm a wagecuck.
>>37854134
DONT JUST LET DREAMS BE DREAMS
JUST NURTURE THIS GUY
>>37854134
Aren't you older? You should know that doctor/engineer/biologist/whatever is a big fucking meme.
If anything it shows he's smarter than most by simply doing what he wants. So let him.
Currently studying to do just this OP. What is so bad about it? Is it unmanly?
>>37854470
I guess it's just when you can preform like him academically, you think he would go into the traditional doctor/lawyer/high paying jobs
>>37854533
so I guess it wasn't a meme that it's all about the money to parents. I always suspected this
>>37854533
customs can be a high paying job, also you might think your son is better than he is. My dad tells me all the time how I wasted my talent by not being a doctor/lawyer but I think im doing pretty good by getting into border control. It lets me see what exactly people cannot bring into different countries, which helps me to see where Earth is divided. Its a good move for world peace, I think.
>>37854134
He should consider State Department Foreign Service
>>37854677
Like diplomats?
>>37854586
Only one in his family out of 6 kids to go to college. I don't want him to rack up debt on a useless major
