You will most likely want to go through YPG-I as they are official, however recently they haven't been able to smuggle volunteers over the border due to it being closed because of tensions between the KDP/KRG and PYD, though I think they might just have reopened it.

You can contact the International Freedom Battalion if you are a far left ideologue, and see if you can join via them.

You will need around a thousand dollars for the plan trip but YPG-I after at least six months of service will offer to pay your return trip.
