Ninja Gaiden 1

It's fast paced and it punishes cautious play with constantly respawning enemies. All out attack is the best option. Really makes you feel like a badass ninja.

It's full of hard as fuck games to be honest. Mario 3 is amazing and not too hard. One of the best games ever.

Tetris is classic. Metroid, zelda 1, Final fantasy all amazing as long as you have a guide with you to know wtf you're doing.

Dr Mario, wonderful puzzle game. Battletoads is the most rock solid hardest game ever, but it's fun if you're into really hard games.

Yoshis cookie is fun puzzle. Uhhh... Also the classic mario 1. And 2, just because.

Hunt for Red October
Probably the best graphics we've seen on the NES and it's a fun game too.
