It is exactly what it sounds like. An insurance against unemployment. The only way to obtain it is by wagecucking and paying a rather small insurance fee per month. If you are without job you will be given 80% of your salary or something like that. Usually works for about a year or so (you have to work 12 months for 12 months of unemployment insurance coverage, atleast where I live (sweden))
