I got a scale off amazon, it was delivered today actually. I plan on weighing myself every morning and logging my weight in a notebook. Starting weight: 213.6 lbs, current goal weight: 170 lbs, after that I'll hopefully make it down to 150 or even 130. 150-170 lbs is the 'healthy' weight range for my height but I wouldn't have a problem with being an underweight skelly.

Maybe I'll track my diet too if the weight sticks too much but for now I'm just planning on keeping it under or around 1000cal a day. That doesn't seem like much but I'm gonna take a daily multivitamin too. When I get a chance I'm also going to pick up some active wear to start running & biking.

Eating nothing but small portions of healthy stuff would be demoralizing so I'm gonna let myself cheat with a takeout meal or some drinks once a week. With the kind of calorie deficit I'm going to use it shouldn't be a problem doing it just on Saturday. As a nice bonus I'll probably be saving money on food & drinks at the same time as I'm losing weight.

I'm 6'6" and 82kg (~180lbs).
Don't care about how much I lose or gain but I want to get rid of some fat, replacing with muscle is more than ok.

So far I've been trying to lessen carbs and stop sugar consumption, but I really can't cut fats because I'm trying to bulk. Also I should probably stop drinking on the weekends.

Lost 5 kilos since I started some 3 months ago and it's pretty good. I still eat whenever I want I just don't eat unhealthy things anymore. Switched to high protein yoghurts, fruits, nuts, vegetables and meats instead of anything carbohydrate-filled or sugar-filled.

1000cal is sustainable. At least for me it is. An average day for me is like, a couple of 100cal granola bars for breakfast, peanut butter & jelly sandwich for lunch, and a 300cal bowl of soup for dinner. With plenty of water.

200lbs down from 320lbs, been stalled for months. I'd look damn good at 180lbs but I am so sick of dieting. I've been running 30 miles/week for the last 2 months but my weight hasn't budged because I'm averaging 3500kcal/day.

I've lost this weight with only one meal per day diet. I eat anything I want but only one meal at the same time. I have normal weight changes.

I'm going to start easy work outs for 15 mins a day.

Losing weight isn't hard. You might not enjoy it and you might feel like shit, but in the end it's really worth it. If you have trouble cutting out things then do this.

If I want some kind of fish or seafood, I noticed that canned sardines were 3 times their weight in calories (300 cal for 100 grams) whereas shrimp were worth their weight in calories (100 grams = 100 calories)

Your body's not beyond repair. People fatter than you have made the change, and they're not any better than you.

The best thing about being that massively fat is that your first few dozen pounds at least will fall off way easier than the first few dozen for a less fat person. And by the time it starts getting a little bit harder, you'll already have established a new set of habits and standards for yourself, which will push you to continue. If you have even the slightest desire to lose weight, that's all you need to get the ball rolling and start seeing your first bits of progress.

You've probably already started losing (or slowed your gaining) just by cutting soda, but you may not realize it because you're not keeping track of your weight. Do this at the same time of day; morning/evening weight can be different by a couple of pounds.

This is one of the best fucking things you can do in life, period, for myriad reasons. Four our purposes though, it's because prepared food will almost always make you fatter and less full than healthy food that you cook yourself.

This whole weight loss thing is plain and simple thermodynamics. Consume less than you expend. Other important parts of weight loss include eating filling food as opposed to loads of unfulfilling salads and literal jew foods and doing at least some brisk walking daily if you just ride a fucking car everywhere.
The fact that you managed to gain weight by eating nuts suggests that you are likely not a very smart individual because dieting is fucking simple. Aside from taking determination and a certain level of commitment and patience, everything else is actually pretty fucking straight up and has always been.

160 lbs. 5'11", want to lose 30 lbs. I went on a diet a few months ago and lost 20 lbs. in under a month, but I made the mistake of not lifting while I lost weight so my body was just a smaller version of my skinnyfat self. After that I cracked and started eating junk again, and I went back to 160 in only a week. It's fucking tough eating the same few healthy meals that need to be cooked when you're used to eating take-out and snacks that don't need to be prepared. I don't live off routine, it's not my nature.

i lost 45 pounds (185 to 140) in about 5 months doing this. not even counting calories or anything, just eating less throughout the day and eliminating every drink that wasn't water or coffee from my diet. i didn't look good when i was done losing weight, i still looked soft and pasty and skinnyfat, but i was no longer noticeably fat when wearing everyday clothes.
