Why do people post things like this on the internet? You know, when they identify themselves through their career or similar. Then they post a picture of it, with something that's "cool" or showing off how great their career path is.
Even a blind man can see that they're bragging or showing off something. That fact coupled with their smugness is just so off-putting, I cannot even describe it.

I've noticed it's more low intellect but highly specialised jobs are more likely to post crap like this I've noticed, like you see a lot of these for nurses, mechanics, and farmers more than for more academic careers

these fields also tend to be ones that require a very large amount of time. these people are their job. it is who they are.
