Is anime aimed at kids ?

foreigners have a misconception about anime in that it translates into cartoons but anime encompasses many things it is more like a genre. So many anime gets produced their are shows for any demographic it's just nu-anime is made for the biggest consumers (disgusting haremfags slice of life otakus with no friends)

it's aimed at a wider spectrum. I mean on one hand you have Pokemon, while on the other you have hentai and ecchi. See what I mean?
