Anyone here successfully went from no friends to having a social circle as an adult?
I just moved to a new city, I'm 27, I'm good looking, intelligent, have a good paying job, and am ok socially.
How the fuck do I make friends? I feel like I'm screwed here. Has anyone successfuly navigated away from nofriends status?
>goodlooking
>intelligent
>good paying job
>ok socially
Do I really have to say it?
GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE

Can't you make friends at work?

I'm just coming here for help. I know people here struggle socially also.

Everyone at my work is 20 years older than me with kids and spouses. Also they are kind of strange.

I've been ok socially in the past.
In high school and college I had a lot of friends, but now nothing.
I don't know how to gain a social group from nothing.

Join a club or any activities, like sports
Meet friends online
Go to bars with friends
That's all I can think of, I do suggest that you join something you enjoy
Other than that there's not many other places to find people. Normies have dictated that it's not socially acceptable to just approach people so you gotta play by their rules in order to get something as basic as companionship

>Join a club or any activities, like sports
Anything specific? I dunno what the fuck I'd join. If I was in college it'd be simpler but I'm just a random dude now.
>Meet friends online
How?
>Go to bars with friends
Horse before the carriage

You're fucked unless you join a gym or something. You could play D&D at your local gamestore and meet autists there. Alternatively, just play an MMO, join a guild, get in their discord, and make e-friends.

fuck normie shit i hope you get cancer and die in a ditch somewhere.
>>37784903
I go to the gym all the time. I've been fit for years. I never talk to anyone there at all. It's a weird place to speak with people.
>>37784907
I'm a normie but it's a waste because I'm friendless anyways.

It took me years to learn how to do it when I moved to a new city, but I have successfully knitted together a small but tight social circle in my new home
There are 3 main ways to meet new people outside of your job:
>meetup.com events and professional networking events
>join a club and participate in a sport or hobby you enjoy
>take classes
The first step is the only step you can't control, it's random chance. You have to meet at least two people you like at the one event. If the 3 of you chat for a little while and hit it off then get them on normiebook and the next week open a group chat and invite the two of them for after work drinks.
From here it is easy to add new people one at a time. Also as the 3 of you start dating that will add to the pool.
For the group to stay together somebody (probably you) has to take the lead and regularly organise group events

find a bar that is convenient for all of you and has a good menu and try to get a weekly after work drinks going. If you can sustain it weekly for a few months then you will have some pretty firm friendship bonds and you can start going a little longer without seeing each other if you have to.
Also if all of you are dating at the same time then triple dates are amazing for group bonding.

If you're in Colorado I'd be your friend OP. I'm kind of an autist sometimes but I'd be down to get a drink and just shoot the shit once in a while
