You're actually right though. In order to cut a board into 2 pieces it takes 1 cut. It took Marie 10 minutes to make 1 cut. She is going to work at the same pace to cut a board into 3 pieces. This means she will make 2 cuts. The problem tells you she make 1 cut per 10 minutes. So it would take her 20 minutes to make 2 cuts yielding 3 pieces at 1 cut per minute.

isn't 20 minutes correct though? I am confused.

Bait harder OP. I already reverse image searched. That pic is at least 7 years old
Lmao, it takes 10 to cut 2 pieces, so divide that and it's 5 minutes per piece. Then just multiply the time it takes to get one piece by however many pieces you need.

Or, because it takes 10 minutes for her to make one cut, it will take her 20 minutes to make two cuts
I'm a total math retard too, OP. I strongly relate.

OP really pulling out all the unconvincing stops with this bait
>>37779550
The flaw in your logic is that she isn't producing the pieces
she is doing work to produce the cuts
so if it takes her 10 minutes to cut the board once, it would take 20 to cut it twice

At least Sage if you're going to reply to bait mi amigo

In 20 minutes, she should be able to saw the board in 3 or 4 pieces, depending if she has enough testoterone in the brain...
