I'm just grasped my at straws here but from what I take from it is that those who are broken perceive more than those who are not and unravel the essence of existence, which is to suffer. They are "more evolved" because they think on a higher plane and thus bring on the worlds suffering into themselves and because the human mind isn't equipped to bear this kind of existence you become broken in the process.

There is no God or force of nature or law that arbitrarily crowns you as "superior" because of your "suffering". In the end, when you die, your suffering will go unrecognized, and you'll face oblivion like everyone else.
