going homeless next week. is sleeping on rooftops a good way to minimize the chances of being assraped?
also, general homeless discussion
No. Just going to get yourself higher degree of trespassing charge.
I've worked at a homeless shelter for several years. AMA

Ever wonder why there aren't an abundance of homeless people around? They die.

That sucks, bro. I was there once, my parents threw me out of the house for being an alcoholic NEET at 24 and I spent a month sleeping in my car. I eventually found a sober living that allowed me one month deferred rent and I was able to put my life back together. Got a job in the first month with their help, and then it took me another 10 months sleeping on a top bunk in a bedroom with 5 others to move out. I saved every penny I could.
I'm 27 now and live on my own. This shit is awesome.

You always hear homeless people griping about how shelters are always full and its impossible to get a room there.
How true is that? Do homeless shelters need more funding or is it just a case of "they won't let me bring booze in there, so I never even try visiting"

really gonna need an answer to this
No, you sleep at the roadside, behind bushes, in a tent or whatever form of shelter you have. Always. Never in a shelter, never on the street, never in someone's backyard. Basically remove yourself from sight.
