how about the only legitimate way to waste water is by putting it in a space capsule and blasting it off our planet?

do you even know what the water cycle is?

the only thing I'm wasting is electricity which is used to power the pumps at the hydro plant which is powered by fossil fuels, but can also be powered by thousands of other things.

It's not "wasting" water.

Everything I use goes through the septic tank, and out to the drainfield, and gradually percolates down into the deep groundwater over a couple of decades, being cleaned in the process.
