Work as a tour guide in bongland city with rich medieval history. It's a 'free tour' anyone can join and people tip whatever they want at the end.

Pros:I literally tell people stories for money and the impressive buildings and history do half the work for me. I also want to be a teacher/lecturer so it is good teaching and oratory practice. On good days I can make 100-150 for less than 2 hours work. Plus I sometimes get to work in (pic related) a really old castle which used to be a Pictish hill fort.

Cons: erratic pay and hours make life and financial planning difficult. My worst day I made 23.50 for the tour. Occasionally annoying tourists will join or you get a herd of American beasts who slow down the entire tour with their slow walking, making the tour run over time which means other tourists get annoyed and tip less. Or a random alkie/junkie scumbag will interject with their own opinions on the topic after hearing you talk for less than ten seconds...

cons: children are the fucking worst, will do everything in their power to piss you off. lots of work, outside most of the time. Lots of disgusting shit you have to deal with. Lot of management errors and disorganization. animosity between different age group counselors. absolute shit pay.

Same, everyone acts like its the worst thing ever. But as an entry level job the pay/environment is pretty comfy
>>
>>37717798
It's not the most comfy job out there.

>Managers constantly tell you to tuck your shirt in

>When you scratch your head or move up your glasses people say you're picking your nose, so have to deal with itches all day long

manager in an office for a property preservation management company (basically there's a bank that repossessed homes and we manage the property and get people to fix it as the bank requires)

pros:
>extremely cushy
>lots of paid breaks
>get to sit on my ass most of the day
>very good opportunity for advancement
>good pay
>close to where I live

cons:
>80% of my coworkers are catty bitches who refuse to take responsibility for their actions
>100% of my coworkers are normalfag scum
>the CEO is the biggest jew nigger that ever lived and will not be reasoned with and has the most extreme case of selective hearing I've ever seen
>all of the other managers hate me and actively try and sabotage other people's work
>one of the people I supervise is grossly incompetent and I recently had to put her on data entry duty and assume all of her responsibilities because she couldn't get the fucking job done right

I plan on using this job to save enough money to go back to school next year for forensic pathology. I would probably shoot myself if I had to stay at this place for too long, but for now it's a very welcome break. Even the worst of the cons aren't as bad as the best of the problems I've had at other jobs.

>get to walk around the premises unlike most of the cucks who are chained down to their position
>free lunches (the food sucks)
>get free sodas from the store
>once in a while in the women's bathroom, I'll find a pair of used panties that I sniff and take home later to jerk off in

cons:
>I'm a janitor, so everyone treats me like I'm some kind of fucking leper esp. women
>have to clean up shit/vomit/period blood sometimes
>it gets a boring sometimes
>doesn't pay that well

All in all not a bad gig at all.

>>
>>37719585

It helps to look up job interviews online. There's plenty of forums and videos to look over. You won't be asked the same exact questions, but you should be able to understand the general idea how you should present yourself. If you're applying for entry level work job interviews aren't so scary. If you don't have a good answer be honest about it and you can move on to the next question.

"Have you ever worked in a fast pace environment?"
"have you ever worked with a group to solve a problem? What did you to overcome a problem?"

I work for Target, wearing many hats but typically doing truck unload in the grocery department.
Pros
>basically get paid to work out
>no cashiering
>about once per week I'm the backroom person and barely have to deal with normies
>most people don't really need help finding grocery items anyway
>gr8 coworkers
>great wage (for retail)
>largely unsupervised
Cons
>get up ass-early in the morning
>occasionally cop general sales floor shifts (which includes my personal hell, backup cashiering) outside of my comfy grocery zone
>irregular schedule and inconsistent hours
>spending time in the freezer eats ass
>have to listen to ancient passive-aggressive operator ladies constantly bitch over the radio about phone calls/whether we have things in stock (srsly makes my blood boil, look shit up yourselves you rusty hags, we're busy doing actual work)
>atmosphere is friendly to the point of culty, doesn't bother me but it would rub you the wrong way if you are antisocial
I like it.

HVAC and refrigeration whenever that pops up.
>pros
>keeps me /fit/
>something I kind of like doing
>pay isn't too bad and I don't have any debt, close to being able to buy a good house
>only go to 3-4 places on average, usually about an hour or so at each place doing whatever needs to be done
>not a whole lot of monotony so boredom isn't much of a thing
>rarely have to interact with people outside of the boss/workers of places I go to and my coworkers
>get a feeling of accomplishment whenever I get something up and running again
>usually go solo
>distraction
>usually get simpler jobs due to area

>cons
>starting out can be rough but it wasn't much of a problem to me
>if you're not an early bird there will be issues
>sometimes things can become unpredictable
>weather can be a drag
>being too much of a careless dumbass can get you or someone hurt
>often you'll get random call ins and the hours can get long
>just fuck summer entirely

Rising senior in college. Current job is an editor at the school paper, and I have an offer from Reuters to be a political correspondent once I graduate. I also work for them as a stringer.

Editor job:
pros-
>a lot of recognition at school
>great resume booster
>super great coworkers
>Great pay for a student job

cons-
>uni pres hates us, has tried to have me expelled over a story
>training new writers can suck, and they can make us look bad
>budget just got cut so we cant pay writers anymore, just editors
>hours can be wonky, im regularly in the newsroom until 2 or 3 working

I'm 29 and I bag groceries. My co workers are all 16 - 18. I make $8.00 an hour and I still live at home, my paycheck goes to anime figures, video games and food. I don't have a car so 2 days a week my mom drives me to work and the other 2 I ride my bike. Yesterday it rained on me on my way to work. A chad with a lifted truck drove by a puddle and splashed it all over me. One of my co workers is also 29 and he works in management.

Residential electrician $23/hr US
I help do electrical for new houses and also wire in furnaces for an hvac contractor.

Pros: company van to drive home
Good health benefits
Work days go by quickly
Satisfaction when you make everything work perfectly.
Potential to do work on the side for cash.

Cons: custom homebuilders are often incompetent assholes.
Homeowners can be demanding and ocd. New housing is tedious because everything must be perfect.
Residential is lowest tier of electrical work and lowest paid and i am overqualified for it. Lots of ignorant and addictive types in trades. Wear and tear on body and joints.

Work as a traffic attendant at my uni. Basically we stand outside and sell tickets for people to park when we have events. Some events we let people park for free.

I'm a freelance communication & multimedia designer and aspiring game developer.
I make logos, sites, videos, physical and digital games, interactive installations etc.
The pros are that you get to work on cool stuff and improve your skillset.
The cons are the vast majority of clients who don't get what design is, think a logo is just a funny picture instead of a brand and try to underpay you.

I'm going to apply for a job at an actual studio once my skillset is bigger, freelance is shit.

Pros: Spend most of my time writing scripts, creating automated/self-serve reports and visualising data.
I rarely have to talk to stakeholders in person. I do all communication via email - I never make myself available on the phone.

Amazing pay(Roughly 45k a year which is above min wage in my country), great tax return, only seasonal work (9 months on, 3 months off these days) your holiday and sick days get paid out at the end of the season. At the beginning and end of the season you can work fuck all hours and still get a pay check better than fulltime hours on min wage.

>cons
extremely hard work that will destroy your body, shitty lazy co-workers that make your job 2x harder because you HAVE to pick up their slack, I have an hour+ long commute because I dont want to live in rural hick town. I work as credit salesman in a bank. I basically have to sit in some random store and occasionally lie to people. my engrish sucks balls, if there's legit name for this kind of position in eng just tell me so
Pros:
