4chans (You)s come from disturbed people, often sexually abused and typically ages 12-14, but often 17-19 too.

In reddit you get many overweight bitter people from middle class families. They were bullied in high school and they remain dysfunctional. Their fathers never cared about them, and their mothers were simple women who took a lot of humiliation from their husbands.
Most of people from Reddit don't have sexual relations until they get married in their 30s by some desperate woman, typically a gold digger, because they cashed out nepotism and got a worthless white collar job. They like to think they succeeded in life after this, but they remain massively bitter about their past.

Also both places suffer a massive infestation of homosexuals. They're acting out in more vile ways here than in reddit, but their presence is more than clear. Reddit is probably gay central for the internet, 4chan is more like the 3rd basement bathroom of gay central.
