Thought I was dead. Could've sworn I was dead. I'm just the only one left.
Not six words, but still a good verse.

My office is the owner's (my boss's) old office, he kept financial documents in them. They built themselves bigger offices.
As you can see I don't keep them locked I just use the keys as handles
They are full of computer parts and cables now but mostly old stuff I need to fix nearly obsolete computers, nothing of much value
I'm just now getting that story.

do you have any knowledge on macs?
I recently have been running into a reoccurring problem with the imac (21.5in, mid 2011)
it keeps shutting down without warning and I don't suspect it to be a power supply related issue\
>>37712704
it restarts fine though? what is the latest version of operating system you can install on it?
>>37713462
os sierra, the latest out to date
I've checked the console and sometimes it lists it as a kernel panic so it activates a shut down and other times there isn't anything there linked to it turning off.
a side note, there are times when turning it on you will hear the hard disc? spin then die out, but you'll hear light fan noise while the display is black.
the mouse infrared sensor does not light up nor does pressing caps lock turn on the keyboard light.

My guess would be it is over heating.
Can you clean the fan and air ducts? the computer is 6+ years old now and could have accumulated dust in the duct work and not be cooling properly. I have had computers do the same thing and stop shutting down randomly after a duct cleaning
i would especially suspect this if you have a dusty environment or pets
for sale, junior panties; worn once.

the mac literally shut off on me while I was typing my response
I tried investigating the air ducts but then I think I'd have to remove the stand that is connected into the back blocking me from a good view of the main duct.
In nearly 3 years this mac has sat in the same room and I try to air the room out daily with a fan but throughout the day most of the time the window is cracked more or less to the width of two fingers.
It is normal for the computer to be running long as 10+ hours and even 15+ since 2 years ago but I guess the way I've been holing it up in the room the fans may have been largely affected.
I don't have the necessary tools at the moment to open up the mac and reach the fans, but so far as the back and top airducts is there a problem with just using a vacuum hose to suck out dust?
