Neither the Berserk movies or the Berserk anime are well animated. The anime is at least well drawn and directed and has a great OST, the movies and new adaptation are just cancerous CGI shits.

If you want well animated stuff then stick to OVAs as most TV anime has zero budget and may as well be slideshows with flashy effects. Giant Robo is probably the best OVA series overall.
