Yeah no dude that's stalking. Creeper.

looking at someone I find attractive and saving public-avaliable pictures is creepy?
Yea. It's embarrasing in hindsight but you don't know it at the time
Yeah. Back when I was in high school, I found a middle school boy that looked like Richard Ramirez. I followed him to the bus station a few times, took creep shots of him, stalked him in school to figure his schedule, then found our common teachers and asked them about him. Now I have his social media accounts, I'm thinking whether I should wait a few years before asking him out so I don't end up looking like a pedophile. It's not that bad, is it?

Only online and never in person.
I actually managed to learn where they live through pictures they post on their social media. I have considered doing a Ted Talk about it and the dangers of uploading pictures of places that can give subtle visible clues as to where you live to warn people about it. (Years of hanging out here has taught me serious tricks like using the shadows in pictures to get direction coordinates, to identifying landmarks like speed bumps)
They also put up info about where they work and give the general area location of where they live which makes it easier and I think people just should not do that.
