I've had exactly two girls say this to me. One was my buddies ex gf who I had a crush on a long time ago and used to joke around with but she said "you're not funny" when I would take a joke too far or something.
The other girl was my ex gf who used to think I was hilarious but after one year would tell me "you're not funny (as funny as you think you are)" and that hurt more

Comedy is an art, too many ppl watch tv and get this phony idea of what being funny is, end up looking like idiots trying to recreate it irl. I think dorks who get told they're not funny deserve it, nothing makes me cringe more.
