>be me
>in 3rd grade
>finish school day
>get home
>immediately rush to the computer
>pop in SimCity 3000 Unlimited
>play it for a couple hours
>switch to watching some cartoons
>have dinner
>take bath and play with my bath toys
>hear a bedtime story from mom
>go to sleep to start another great day
>tfw I will never experience this ever again
Always next year in 4th grade, bub
When I was in third grade, Myst was all the rage.
Those were good times.
>he had to load the disc into the drive
>>37676798
3rd was all about oregon trail on apple IIs for me ;_;
>>37676821
There's a certain satisfaction into having to put the disc into the tray in order the start the game. That's one reason why I don't like digital games at all.
>3rd grade
>bath toys and bedtime stories
Shit really? Wew
>>37676708
>Was in third grade when Sim City 2000 was all the rage.
>>37676708
>create your own city in SimCity2000
>drive around that very city Streets of SimCity
>play that city in SimCopter. I had the 'himbo' version with the guys in speedos and neon nips.
The games today are probably better, it's just the excitement and wonder you felt as a kid that's gone...
>>37676855
I was babied far into my childhood. I didn't say my first word until 4 years old. And I didn't start sleeping in my own bed until around 11 years old.
>>37676877
>The games today are probably better
Only the dumbest fucking normie would even consider thinking this.
>>37676877
I was born a little too late to experience SC2000 and Streets of SC/SimCopter.
I do remember playing SimEarth a good amount and loving it because biology is one of my hobbies.
>>37676886
Well that explains why you're on /r9k/
>>37676854
Same, few people who feel that way.
>>37676854
>>37677061
That seems like a stupid thing to get satisfaction from, considering it meant if your disc got fucked up you were shit out of luck. I always ripped all my discs so I didn't need them.
Tfw Tonka for pc
tfw in middle school during summer played diablo 2 LoD online all day every day and enjoyed the fuck out of it
life will never again be this comfy
>>37676708
My life was like that up until I was 14 fucking hell why
>>37677259
I made a lot of money in middle school selling D2 items on eBay.
>>37677380
luckily i didnt have money at the time or i would have been one of the dumb asses buying those items off you lol
>>37676798
how the fuck did you figure out how to get anywhere in myst in THIRD GRADE?
t. brainlet
>>37676708
>AoE 1
>CnC: Tiberian Sun
>Rome: Total War
>Streets of Simcity
>Rogue Squadron
>Force Commander
At least my vidya was comfy
>wake up
>don't go to school
>close the blinds and play red alert 2 all day
>>37676708
>Simcity 3000 Unlimited
>Simcity 4
>The Sims 1
>Sims 2
>Civ 4
>tfw I will never play any of these for the first time again.
Post comfy stories of childhood vidyas, anons.
>>37676886
That's the 'tism alright.
Well I just experienced it yesterday again, made my first 2 million people city
I miss the joy of not knowing what to expect from things as a kid. Fuck being an adult man child sucks ass.
>the excitement of getting new vidya for birthday or christmas
>waking up early next moring, sneaking to dad's office to play on his computer
>turning the volume down in order not to wake up parents, but just high enough to hear the sounds
>sitting in huge adult sized office chair, wearing pajamas
>sun is slowly rising and shinin through windows that are covered in frozen morning dew
>playing until I hear my parents wake up, and then it's time to eat some breakfast
I miss being a kid. Sure now that I'm all grown up I can have all the vidya in the world and play them all day every day if I want to, but it's just not the same.

>be me
>little britbong
>mum comes home one day with Goof Troop on SNES
>its 2 player
>Mum, me and little bro take turns so we can all play
>get stuck on final 'boss'
>mum rings the old cheat line
>finish a game for the first time
reminds me, i need to call my mum and dad today just for a chat
>>37676708
>tfw I will never experience this ever again
I still do the same thing and I'm 27 & work full time.
>>37676916
>SimEarth
I remember trying to play that when I was 8 and I had no idea what I was doing to I went back to SimCity and proceeded to cause a meltdown and kill half my map in a nuclear fire
>>37680564
>always rode my bike to school everyday
>as soon as school finished I'd ride home as fast as I could
>jumped on my Xbox or PC and played for hours until dinner and repeat till sleep.
>continued till end of high school
>still do this with work years later
Nothing has changed really.
Use to play MGS2 over and over again along with Fable and Halo.
>wake up
>eat breakfast
>run to school with my brother and his friends
>come home and run to computer
>play age of empires of fifa or something
>have dinner
>do homework and bathe
>go to sleep
>dad comes in and molests me
goddamn those were the days
>be 25 aspie loner
>still living with parents in my childhood home
>still have all my old toys and games
>all my siblings moved out years ago
>dad is probably dying, and I don't think mom can afford to pay for the house after dad is gone
>will probably have to move out and get my own place
>tfw
I'm afraid my future apartment will not feel like home, but as "extended holiday". I don't like change.

Discs don't get scratched if you take good care of them. I also enjoyed hunting for my discs and popping them into the tray, hearing the drive spool up, the pop-up window for the game launching. So. Fucking. Comfy.
