I don't know why, but this image really did it for me. I've become somewhat desensitized to comfy images after reading dozens and dozens of threads about them. But this one did the trick. The combination of nostalgia and a quiet scene did it for me. It has a vaporwave feel to it, but also conveys a sense of still and calm.

I don't have laundry at my house so I go to the laundromat. I just get time away from the computer and the internet, just to sit and read comfy books while I wait for my clothes to wash and dry. shit you wanna trade? I moved from cali deserts to SE texas. it's been 90+ almost everyday since march, ridiculously humid at all times night or day, step outside and instantly start sweating and mosquitos attack you in swarms making any outdoors activity a dumbass move.
I'd take the 100+ heat of the day anytime. I loved going out at night in the cool air, looking up at the stars, and not losing a pint of blood.

You two should also look at Chinese (not Japanese!) Scholar's Stones and Kintsukurui.

Chinese Scholar's Stones are aesthetically appealing and relates somewhat to the concept of wabi-sabi because of their ruggedness and imperfections. They're an example of an organic substance that has weathered the test of time.

Secondly, Kintsukurui.(hopefully I spelled it right, on phone) are another example of wabi-sabi. They're previously cracked and destroyed vases with the cracks filled in with a certain golden lacquer and filled with gold leaf. It's imperfections show its use and the beauty of a new life for the vase.

I used to study aesthetics compulsively when I was an 18 year old autist. So, I kind of know my stuff.
