synchronicities (which is what you described in OP) aren't exclusive to schizophrenics, but every schizo experiences them, so you would need other common prodromal schizophrenia symptoms, like insomnia, hearing others speak about you, hallucinations (which are usually only mentioned as being auditory, but other senses aren't uncommon at all, such as smelling a particular smell from water, or smelling smoke when there's none around)

I've sometimes heard voices insulting me when I smoke weed, been housebound for months because I was afraid people all around me were talking about me and staring at me, and bugging my computers and phone to spy on me. I didn't talk to my sister for a long time because I thought she was fucking with me when she would tell me she didn't understand what I was talking about (I'm a sys admin).

That's why I come here for a second opinion. I'm really terrified of the people around me, family included, and I feel that they are malevolent (either because of supreme indifference or outright hatred).

would you trust a psychiatrist if they gave you an antipsychotic? treatment works well if you start early - I started it about an year after I had gotten to extreme paranoia like what you just described (feeling like family was out to spy on me, covering all windows with newspaper, trying to go as deep into the basement as possible to avoid electromagnetic radiation, etc), and I haven't relapsed since then (5 years)

I basically just try to be moderately stoned when i have to interact with people (I found a sativa strain that works for me, weed is semi legal here) to calm myself.

Outwardly people see me as very standoffish and neurotic.
