Why is art not as great as it used to be? How come we do not have anyone making art of this magnitude and awe? And how come there are no more legends, like gaun yu or attila the hun?

Modern power structures are too entrenched to ever again allow one person to change the world like that

Have a bump. :^)

Why make hyperealistic art when we have cameras? People back then were uneducated and hardly capable of absteact thinking, so they needed very concrete stuff to look at. That kind of art had a point back then. Nowaday it'd just be a pretty drawing.
>>
>>37667696
brutalist architecture is actually hilariously passive aggressive
>>
>>37667648
Maybe you have a point there but plebs who say anything that isn't 19th century realism is trash are cancer.

jealous you can't have this toilet?

>>37667696
I actually do yeah. It just got a bad rep from being used as the template for cheap apartments and shopping malls but high end art galleries and theatres built in the style are actually quite attractive.

Give me one example of it not being that way. Just one.

It's extremely tacky when people do this kind of thing, that money would be much better spent beautifying someplace else in a home, but I suppose when you have money to burn you don't really care that much.
It is a great conversation piece though

Because it gets boring, repetitve, and stop being creative.
Art is about expression and being creative, but is also selfish and only about yourself. And to catch the viewers attencion too

Is not that 2deep4u as you may think, but really comfy once you understand it.

Go to your local modern art museum and watch the paints and ask yourself what make you feel about.

Advertising and image are the modern artforms. Our lives are now the canvas.
