Well I'm pretty slim /fit/ now. Muscles are pretty big on their own. It's a lot easier to lift shit and I'm a bit more physically durable.

Nigger you won't get anywhere without doing them in sets. This is why every person that works out/does anything requiring weights does them in sets. All you're going to do is increase your metabolism to a rate where you will lose muscle unless you eat like 2 times your Tdee. Do it in sets if you want to keep a normal metab and gain muscle.

I'd recommend mixing it up and adding different variations of pull-ups to work your back. Throw in lunges with the squats, too. Kettlebell swings, farmer's walks, deadlifts, and cleans and presses wouldn't be a bad idea, either.

Optimally, you might want to look into taking the barbell redpill and at least -- at a bare minimum -- supplementing your workout with barbell squats and deadlifts. Tough to work the lower body with just high-rep bodyweight.

Impressive in my book. I have artrithis and I can run at most 1km before the pain gets too overwhelming. I think I can make 15 push ups, joints clicking loud as fuck while doing it, then I'm spent, sit ups I can do 40 or so without any issues, squats start hurting pretty quickly, I can do 20 at best I think.

Whatever results you aim for. The biggest part of the lifting is adding weights over time, you've got an increasing OUTSIDE force to conquer each week. When doing calisthenics, you're pretty much limited to what hurdles your own body is able to produce, and it simply won't produce more mass than it currently has.

I mean, doing a deadlift twice your bodyweight is pretty good, but it's not really elite level. Now try to find an exercise even reaching that level when doing calisthenics.

It's like comparing a 50km walk to sprinting. Walk will mostly fuck you up and give no gains, sprinting will mostly increase your abilities.

And it's hard to fuck up with proper form and gear. You don't need to push yourself over the edge every time. I personally add more sets when I feel like I'm nearing my limits, rather than more weights and compensate with bad form or snap city.
