Dated four weeks, together three weeks today. So nearly two months. Had a slight falling out Friday, putting me in hot water. Apologies, conversations, seeing each other for a few minutes. Supposedly moving past it. Still feel like shit. Realistically envision? It's hard to tell. Outside my fuckup, I see us as a good fit for one another. In my head I'd like to see more of her. In reality though, I don't really know where she stands. She's so sweet, saying things like "You'll always hear from me :)" and "We're good" and such, but then I won't see her for days or hear from her for hours.

We were supposed to hang Wednesday at 5pm. Chatted early morning. Don't hear from her for twelve hours.
7:30 she's like "Omg Im a terrible person, I overslept, im so sorry."
8:11 she's like "will you be at the [car] meet?"

I was already bothered she missed it, so I went out for a drive on my way to said meet. I enjoy myself, meet friends, go home sad I didn't see her there.

Didn't talk to her Thursday, but she said she hoped I had a good day.

Friday morning I ask her to join me to an event Saturday, she declines twice. This is where it was downhill.

Turns out, she genuinely did fall asleep for five fucking hours in the middle of the day, and even showed up to the car meet. She said she saw me, saw that I didn't say anything to her, and was livid I left without a word. Meanwhile, I had no clue she was there.

She was upset that I basically went cold for a day and a half without explanation.

Meanwhile, I was just really upset that I didn't get to see her Wednesday, and further upset since I didn't see her that night.

After talking, discover that she genuinely wanted to hang Wednesday night and asked if I was gonna be at the meet so she could see me. I don't even know she's there. Fuck, not only is she there, but she hangs out at the meet until 2, and then goes with friends to someone's house to decompress and watch a movie, leaving his house at 5am. She said it so casually, gave me names, times, location, etc, but I'm freaking out like she fucked some dude. Somehow, "watching a movie" and letting your dogs hangout isn't weird to her.

Then Thursday, she gets in a car accident around midnight. Doesn't tell me about it. Calls some other dude and gets her car towed and all this. Said she wasn't home until 7am.

All this happened in two days. I don't think she's cheating, because, when you're a girl in the car scene, 99% of your friends are guys. Other women are tire biters, and it's a male hobby.

I groveled, apologized, and told her that it was wrong of me to go silent, and there were big misunderstandings. She said she didn't know I didn't see her, and was past her anger, blah blah blah.

She's assured me that we're "good" twice now, but has pulled anything public (facebook status for xample) about our relationship, and hasn't put it back up. We talked last night, this morning, and it was good. She's busy all day. I haven't heard from her for hours, but she read the message. Don't know if I'll hear from her. I don't want to not reach out, because that's the mistake from before . But I dson't want to smother her either.

At the end of the day, there are more women in the world, but that's no the issue here.

Yeah, though cliche, the worst she could say to me is no. The thing is that I see her on an almost daily basis because of work, so asking her out has some potentially serious implications, mostly just related to making things awkward at work.

The chance of her saying yes is higher since I've known her for awhile and talk to her in person pretty frequently, or at least I think the chance is higher.

But, I think I'm gonna do it next week, probably on Saturday. If not then, then definitely before I move for grad school.

Just be polite and respectful, and if she declines, be very sure to act calm and as if it's not a big deal, seeing as she's your corporate business partner. Then it's not awkward for either of you and most importantly, even if it hurts for you, she doesn't need to know and it doesn't damage your relationship.
