How does /r9k/ feel about reddit?

r9k is reddit
origgy
i've never spent much time there
sometimes a google search will point me there but i don't spend much time because the updownboat system breaks up the conversation too much and i find it a convoluted read

The general subs, like r/movies and r/music are awful. The niche ones are okay tho. r/indieheads is alright
[spoilers] there's a lot of great porn subreddits :x [spoilers]
>karma circlejerk
>unpopular opinions stay after tons of normie approved posts
>mainstream media and its audience
Dont get me wrong, reddit still has some worthy content, but its not worth of participating
Socal areas, popular zones and comment sections are usually shit
Job tale sections (tales from xxxx ) are good at times
The porn is usually ok, many different zones for different fetishes
some of the tech support/ advice areas are informative and useful
I dont go ont here for anyting but reading about idiots who dont know how to use computers and porn.

I only go to reddit for porn or vidya too
Aside from circlejerking, karma and thanks for the gold stranger its nice. Everything you like in one place
I used to like it, but it went to shit around 2012. Major subs feel like they are populated entirely by bots, because it's the same comment threads over and over again.
Nowadays I visit it only for /r/milliondollarextreme, /r/teslore and /r/voluptuous.
I don't understand how you can read threads where comments are always [deleted] or [removed]. I mean why the fuck can't I see comments, it's like the moderators are trying to "protect" you from bad comments, it's so weird

Some subreddits are alright. The mains are absolute shit.
Sometimes the reddit hate on 4chan is understandable, but sometimes it's so ridiculous that it's actually kind of funny.
i don't understand people whining about it.
pretty good made and a lot of subs are alright.
if you browse cancerous subs just don't blane the whole site
It's a good news aggregator but the userbase is usually pretty bad, but that really comes down to the format. Subreddits are as close as you can get to actual information silos; it's how they have so much discussion but no real interaction with criticism. "Reddiquette" effects an atmosphere where harsh criticism is frowned upon too often. And all the memes shit has gotten so out of hand. they'll look back on it and cringe the same way they do now with rage comics and lolcats (which are making a comeback, incidentally). But the real takeaway is that it's so broad and has so many different factions that, while there may really be a "reddit culture," it's sort of meaningless to talk about Reddit as a monolith. That said, the place kinda sucks.

I wish all the gays on this board would go to reddit and never come back. Reddit is a place for normies like them.

>hurr durr reddit is for normies
guess who's a normie
i love it! despite its flaws its my favorite website!
my favorite subreddits are r/the_donald, r/cringeanarchy, r/imgoingtohellforthis and r/4chan. the rest is just infected with cringeworthy SJW cucks that are triggered every single second
(You) me if leafyishere bought you here
hiss
praise kekistan!
Reddit is great, except for the Redditors. It's nice to find all my news on a particular topic in one place (e.g. I can go to /r/hockey instead of nhl.com, sportsnet.ca, tsn.ca, Twitter...) but it seems like every single comment is made by the same loser who thinks he's hilarious for repeating the same joke ad nauseum.
I use Reddit for stuff that 4chan isn't good for, such as local news and sports. I use 4chan for funny and entertaining content.
