Then you'll see it has a bad rap because of the userbase not the platform. Much like any "social media" it's all about who you chose to follow and who you choose to ignore.

I have two profiles, one for retoasting B&W artwork and one for OC only. I unfollow anyone who uses their profile as a personal soapbox and can honestly say their sorting algorithm has been bretty good in that I only run into a special snowflake or SJW about once a month.

Honestly, if R9K wanted to change the demographic of Tumblr, the best thing they could do is just use their platform to host their own views.

It's a platform, not a cult.

With that being said, the associations of R9K with sad losers, and Tumblr with "sad" losers are both pretty accurate.
