I had a job for all of 3 days, I don't count that.

I'll be NEET for the foreseeable future.

I was NEET from May of 2013 to March 2015. That period of time was easily the most damaging thing I ever went through in my life.

24 years. Have not done so much as wash a dish in my life.

I only managed to NEET for 2 years after I graduated college. And it wasn't even a continuous 2 years cause I got a seasonal job before the end of the first year, which only lasted a couple months. I start my new job in a week, ending my NEETdom. I wish I could NEET it up forever, and I know my family was prepared for that grim reality, but I know that once my personal finances ran out I'd be completely dependent on them and I couldn't accept that. I need to be able to buy my own stupid anime shit. I can't beg my family for money to buy anime shit.

Getting a job was the lesser of two evils.

This is a great way to put it. Wasting the whole day on 4chan is terrible as a NEET. You truly feel like a piece of shit when you've done nothing but post on this toxic wasteland of a website for 8+ hours. I have designated "no 4chan" days, and I find it really easy to walk away from the computer on those days and do something else. The main thing keeping me hooked on this place is the fear of "missing something" and always wanting to be in the loop on the latest shitposting. But when you spend every day here it just gets monotonous.

does volunteering as a NEET count as working?

I quit high school in 2006 but I took a few college classes at some point and I don't even remember when that was. Could be anywhere from 2008 to 2012 for all I know. That's how messed up my memory is. I've been NEET without interruption since then though.

Are there any NEETs not on NEETbux?

Yes. I've never been diagnosed with any disabilities and NEETbux is not easy to get in the US unless you were diagnosed as a kid. I'm 27 now and still supported by my parents.
