I know the whole resentment for the "be urself" meme because i hate it too, but in my case over these last few years it really was the case. Every time i tried to change myself she'd remind me not to because if she wanted someone else i know she could definitely get them because thats the power women have.
I spend 24 hours a day 7 days a week on my computer, playing games with my friends on Discord and she's made friends with them.
I'm not sure who this is meant to inspire or how they will find it inspiring, because it won't work for everyone. But sometimes you just got to be yourself, because things will come to you and theres no better feeling than knowing it's because you are the way you are. Despite all of your flaws.

I made a post on r9k detailing my interest in obtaining a girlfriend. I got a few replies but none showed interest in holding a conversation except for one. She genuinely seemed interested in having a conversation. After a few months of talking online we met in person. Of course it was long distance for awhile but eventually she moved out to come be with me.

I was honestly just really lucky OP. The best advice I can give you is to keep trying different ways. Before I actually made a post I had tried online dating websites, meet ups around the city, but none seemed to work. That's honestly your safest bet.
