So, I've been thinking about happiness these last couple of days, so I thought I could share some thoughts about fulfillment and what it means to be content.

And I'll tell you why I've been thinking about this shit a lot. Like, I'm serious, man. Here's this group of gorgeous, beautiful teenagers, all traveling down a road in this wonderful mellow electronic twilight, to the tunes of pleasant computerized music and the astonishing voice of Ellie Goulding filling in those blank spaces between the magical bass drum and hi-hats. I think they're happy because they're free, and that's what freedom is all about, right? Drifting. Just ... drifting.

Drifting down the streets of suburb Kansai, over meters from their neighbors, never seems awake by the actions of youth, has never torn out of the sleep of the beautiful eternal party outside. Towards the end of the video, they go to one of Skrillex's performances, and when the bass finally goes down, a wild feast of pure joy and neon brilliance breaks out in the crowd, making me longer joining them as their neglecting ignore the rest of the real world. I think ... I think that's what the sky has to be like to me, you know?

If heaven is the ideal realm of love and authentic peace, I think that might've been my heaven. Partying forever, young forever, never worrying about not having enough money, food, lovers or friends, just forever trapped on the top of the summit. I think that?s the reason why it?s called that because of that?s what Skrillex envisioned as the summit of happiness, perhaps? I don?t know precisely why it resonates this much with me. Maybe it?s because I?m searching for the same, mellow, twilight experience, one that seems to last forever, and will pass through my life like a dream I will forever be uncertain about whether I experienced or not. Or maybe I?m just jealous, jealous because I?m not that good-looking, beautiful, free or as roaming as the demi-gods in the music video. Isn?t that strange? That out of all the weird and insane ways to express pure emotions through any art form imaginable it?s the music video for an almost forgotten dub-step house track that resonates the most with me? I wished I had the language viable to express fully how it makes me feel. I will try harder next time.?
